Architectural coordination of the built complex of a city block and housing design in Bassins à flot (France)
First prize. Invited competition, 2010

Last December, Josep Lluís Mateo was awarded first prize in the invited competition for the design and construction of block B6/B9 in Bassins à flot, Bordeaux (France). The programme comprises a series of dwellings and a commercial strip. These dwellings will have private gardens, a car park and a communal garden area for the residents.

Physical and cultural landscapes in the Bergell valley (June 2011)

The Bergell, a narrow and deep valley in the Swiss Alps, is the homeland of the Giacometti family. In this context, the chair of Professor Dr. Josep Lluís Mateo has proposed the students to design a Giacometti Museum in Stampa, where the Giacometti’s atelier is located. more »

Connecting Hall, Main Entrance of the national Gallery and access between the palaces Slam and Schwarzenberg International Competition, First Award. 2004

After winning the Restricted Competition in 2004 the construction of the new central access to the National Gallery in Prague began in late 2009 and works are ongoing, it will be completed by the end of this year.
